The images, and forms, in Ramesh Anand’s works, are calm, serene, and with a touch of sublime. Yet make ripples, and signals towards the abounding beauty, and mystery, in the world of Nature. His love for Nature and his explorations in the realm of Natural are manifested in the paintings, with a certain melodious feel as well. Ramesh Anand has spent many years in the region of Malwa known for its colorful surroundings and festive hues, and uses red, yellows, greens etc. in a judicious manner, to empower the images according to their intent – at times giving them a subdued look, and at times gleaming them gloriously. He likes to spread the hues, and make enclosures out of these; to create spaces, which are truly enchanting. In a controlled manner, he uses his imaginative faculties to distill the very essence of landscapic forms.

About Ramesh Anand

His love for Nature and his explorations in the realm of Natural are manifested in the paintings, with a certain melodious feel as well. Ramesh Anand has spent many years in the region of Malwa known for its colorful surroundings and festive hues, and uses red, yellows, greens etc. in a judicious manner, to empower the images according to their intent – at times giving them a subdued look, and at times gleaming them gloriously. He likes to spread the hues, and make enclosures out of these; to create spaces, which are truly enchanting. In a controlled manner he uses his imaginative faculties to distill the very essence of landscapic forms.

Ramesh Anand recalls, how on his train journeys in certain hilly regions of Maharashtra, he was fascinated and hypnotized by some barren, dark rocky mountains, bereft of any human presence, and greenery, echoing mysterious sounds within. These hilly ranges naturally not only fascinated him, but also intrigued him, offered forms and images, which were to make an appearanceon his works later on.
Yet, mostly the pastoral scenes, the sunrises, the sunsets, green fields, mud-dwellings, water bodies, winding and unwinding paths, clouds, and open skies, and vistas pervade his paintings in their transformed manifestations, mingled with the artist’s ideas, emotions and thoughts. These manifestations offer a visual delight, and are absorbing in their very formations.
